CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Here is where you will find a description for all the classes and see if it is for you !! We guarantee you there is a class there to suit everyone.. Launching the UL Sport brand of uplifting strength & conditioning.

As with all classes if you are new or first time just tell the instructor and they will look after you.

Insanity Live®

Prepare to dig deeper with INSANITY LIVE®! Based on the widely popular home workout videos, this workout is designed to give participants a safe, challenging, and results-driven experience through max interval training. Each class can accommodate beginners as well as athletes in peak condition. INSANITY LIVE® offers total-body conditioning, complete with high intensity cardio moves for anaerobic endurance, plyometrics for power, bodyweight strength moves, agility drills, and a focus on core strength.

Fit for Life

A low impact conditioning class, ideal for those who prefer less impact and intensity, but would still like a workout which tones and strengthens. A very friendly non intimidating class environment, with sections to target upper, lower and mid body.

GUN-EX

GUNNING™ is a group exercise with GUN-EX® COBRA elastic ropes. Benefits of training with GUN-eX ropes are: high energy expenditure, muscle toning & pumping, developing speed, acceleration, strength, and power.

Total Body Workout

Total body workout is an energetic step workout with a friendly atmosphere, pumping tunes and cardio choreographed sections, with or without hand weights, finished off with a core section.

TRX (Suspension Training)

Which stands for Total Body Resistance Exercise, is revolutionary workout method that uses your body weight and gravity as resistance to build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability.

R1ZE

Level up your training with the modern take on a classic piece of kit. In R1ZE the step can be anything – from jump box to exercise bench to obstacle. You’ll utilise multi-dimensional functional movements for a full body interval blast.

CIRCUITS

Circuit training is a form of body conditioning that involves endurance training, resistance training, high-intensity aerobics, and exercises performed in a circuit, similar to high-intensity interval training. It targets strength building and muscular endurance.

L1FT

L1FT workouts involve high repetitions of relatively low weights (bar and weight plates or dumbbells), which reduces the chance of injury but still allows you to access the many benefits of resistance training: … Reduce your chances of injury or joint issues as you age. Shape, tone and strengthen your body.

BODYATTACK ™

A high energy fitness class with moves that cater for total beginners to total exercise addicts. Body attack ™ combines athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping, with strength exercises such as push ups and squats. A LES MILLS ™ instructor will pump out energizing tunes and lead you through the workout – challenging your limits in a good way.

BODYPUMP™

Is the world’s most successful barbell training class and the secret to this is the ‘rep effect’. High reps with low to medium weight is the formula you need to tone and strengthen muscles and force the body to consume calories. Your BODYPUMP™ instructor is trained to provide lots of options for each exercise, so that everyone who comes to class leaves feeling like they’ve had a great workout.

VINYASA YOGA

Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath.  Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga, it is sometimes confused with “power yoga“.

YOGA

A relaxing way to end your day or an amazing way to start your Yoga practice. Come and find out more about the world of Yoga and learn new postures.

Nobody loves people arriving late for Yoga. Please do not enter a Yoga class once it’s started.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

HIIT is an extremely efficient way to get leaner and gain great results. It might not always ‘feel’ easy as you alternate between high and low intensity, but the beauty is you work at YOUR high intensity (no one else’s). HIIT is suitable for beginners and experienced alike. You just need to listen to your body and enjoy the variety.

ULOVE TO LIFT

ULOVE TO LIFT is UL Sport Arena’s very own barbell, weights + conditioning class, with each session having a unique feel. ULOVE TO LIFT is taught by UL Sport instructors who have a passion for creative conditioning and strong backgrounds in Strength + Conditioning, Personal Training, CrossFit, Athletics + Core training. ULOVE TO LIFT is a guided weights class, and will give you a time effective full body workout.
